Communications Officer

Communications Officer job based in Chelmsford paying up to £30,000 per annum Your new company Is a local charity looking to bring in all round Communications Officer to join the team following a bit of restructure and change. Your new role Will be providing corporate communications company-wide and to external stakeholders and press. You will produce and edit content for social media, website, email marketing both internal and external, press releases and events/campaigns. You will provide internal communications through digital platforms including the intranet, email and in house system. You will assist in organising and commissioning supplies and services for proactive PR events/ campaigns including research, editorial production, media liaison, photography, video, display material and electronic circulation. You will assist with media queries, researching answers, liaising with appropriate officers/members, drafting and agreeing quotes as appropriate, responding as an official spokesperson. You will be ensuring all external communications are personalised and engaging to drive and retain donations and exposure for the charity. What you'll need to succeed You will need strong internal and external communications experience and be able to hit the ground running. You will need strong copy skills, about to create heartfelt case studies, exciting news updates and driving donations and events. You will have a good digital skill set, confident in CMS systems ideally Wordpress, social media management, email marketing platforms ideally Mailchimp and Adobe Creative ideally InDesign and Photoshop. You will need to be able to arrange events and campaigns from initial research to commissioning services and communicating results.
