Overview
Tech Co-Founder Overview Trouperly is a peer to peer group travel platform. If you’ve ever done something, or been somewhere, because a friend suggested it, then you’ll know where we’re going with this. Who you share experiences with is a hugely important aspect of travel, but until now customers have no choice or input into who those people will be. Based on 15 years experience running a social adventure club, Trouperly aims to harness people-power in the booking process. A sense of community creates an encouraging booking environment that leads to high conversion rates and high repeat bookings. I have the industry experience and success in running a community, as well as the contacts and means to quickly develop the content for the site and some great distribution channels, and to complement this I need a tech co-founder to join me in making this concept a reality. I need a business partner who will come on board for a very substantial equity share and work alongside me to get this to market and to funding. We share the risks but we’ll share the rewards too. I do not expect the person to be in a position to work full time therefore, but I would expect them to be able to dedicate significant amounts of time to it one way or another. In addition to the appropriate technical skills needed to build a fairly complex platform with unique messaging capabilities, I am seeking someone who will understand the vision I have and be able to contribute to this through your technical insight, and who is passionate about finding ways for new technology to improve our product for our community. Responsibilities and Duties You will play a key role in identifying innovative technologies that enable the company’s strategy and services. Translate the technology vision into actionable work packages Execute on identified work packages independently or in cooperation with outsourcing partners, such as web development agencies. Act as interface to external partners and validate their work Work with key stakeholders on identifying a CRM solution for the business. Develop and implement standards/processes to keep company and client information secure Identify competitive advantages and technological trends for the benefit of a company Qualifications and Skills Ideally experienced in delivering an online marketplace platform Vision and skill to develop user centric web experiences and mobile applications Be aware and knowledgeable across various applications/systems and their integration. Excellent written & oral Communication Skills Stakeholder management and vendor management skills Track record as a Team Builder and experience of leading and developing a start-up Experience in the travel industry or with travel platforms is a plus An interest in sport and adventure desirable but not essential
