Buyer - Retail / Wholesale

I am exclusively working with a successful wholesale business in the search for an Industry experienced Buyer. My client is part of an innovative and progressive group organisation, supplying a broad range of products direct to major retailers. With increasing growth and success, they have now created a new opportunity for a Buyer with retail / wholesale experience to join their team in Goole. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and career driven professional to take on a key role supporting the Category Manager, with the scope to further develop their role in the business. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with new product ranges, identifying market trends and negotiating competitive terms. Adding value to product development, supplier performance and purchase order processes. Taking responsibility for compiling reports on category sales, margins and overall performance. Working closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure correct preparation for promotional activity, new product launches and seasonal demands. We are looking for forward thinking professionals who demonstrates the ability to consistently identify improvements and drive results. You will be a strong negotiator with an outgoing personality in order to build supplier relationships. Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences: Ideally CIPS qualified or Degree educated Minimum 2 years' purchasing experience ideally within retail / wholesale Excellent supplier management skills Ability to demonstrate experience of contract negotiation and strategic sourcing Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment Group focusing on purchasing, sourcing, and full supply chain control and management positions in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
