Overview
The Company A fantastic opportunity for a Merchandiser to join a leading importer and distributor of nursery products. You will be working closely with the Senior Buyer, liaising with Supplier/ Retailers and internal support teams to manage the whole critical path, forecasting sales and ensuring customers receive goods in a timely manner. The Role: Responsible for the timely procurement of all goods both Import and UK. Ensuring a high level of communication with all external suppliers and forwarders. Key liaison between key account merchandise teams to forecast ranges and trend accordingly. Work alongside the Buying team to deliver new product development in a timely manner. In conjunction with the buyer, control the flow of stock into the business Monitor and manage the availability of stock and ensure sales and stock are potentialised through production planning. Managing terminal stock Communicate with key accounts to secure forecasts and trend accordingly Assist in the planning of markdown in line with planned events and promotions and ensure the correct balance is available across accounts. Review and update sales and stock on a weekly basis Complete weekly Forecasting review of all key accounts Communicate stock issues with proposed actions to the Head of Buying Update all shipping reports and production schedules Ensure all paperwork is received prior to shipment and is cross referenced for accuracy and actioned in accordance with the business/suppliers needs. Schedule deliveries in conjunction with the warehouse manager to ensure resource is available and additional charges are not incurred. Work in conjunction with the technical manager to ensure deliveries are in accordance with our standards. Ensure deliveries meet our packaging and labelling requirements Skills Required: Must be analytical and have experience of using Excel to a good standard. 2 years experience in a similar role The ideal candidate will be an experienced Junior/ Merchandiser looking to progress into hands on role with more responsibility.
